The murder trial of Angelo Harrod continues in Annapolis. The 31-year-old is charged in the 2021 shooting death of Michelle Cummings of Texas who was dropping off her son at the U.S. Naval Academy. In court this week, the jury heard from the specialist who reviewed videos that tracked Harrod’s movements on the night of the shooting. At one point the defense called for a mistrial, saying the jury saw evidence that could have been prejudicial. The judge denied the request and instructed the jury to disregard that particular piece of evidence. Prosecutors say Harrod tried to kill a woman in a parking lot near the Graduate Hotel and a stray bullet struck Cummings who was on the hotel patio.
