Forty-five-year-old Cumberland resident Rachel Ann Murphy was charged with second-degree assault, following an incident in the 100-block of Humbird Street on Wednesday. She was accused of striking the victim several times with an object, causing injuries. Ms. Murphy received a District Court hearing and was later released on her own recognizance.
