The Maryland General Assembly’s 2023 legislation session is underway. Over the next 90-days, state lawmakers will be considering measures dealing with abortion rights, access to guns and regulating recreational marijuana. They’ll also figure out how to spend the state’s multi-billion-dollar fiscal year 2024 budget. This will be the first legislative session for incoming Democratic Governor Wes Moore, who replaces popular, but term-limited Republican Governor Larry Hogan.
