THREE JMU STUDENTS KILLED IN HARDY COUNTY CRASH

Three James Madison University students were killed and two critically injured in a Hardy County crash late last week. Five male students, all 19-years-old, were traveling south on state Route 259, near Mathias, when the vehicle left the highway and struck a tree. There were no skid marks on the highway, and no evidence that an animal had been struck. The wreck occurred near the state line with Virginia. James Madison University is located in Harrisonburg, about 18 miles from the state line. The names of the students were not immediately released.
