POLICE SEEK TO SOLVE VALENTINE’S DAY, 2009 COLD CASE MURDER

Baltimore County police are hoping renewed attention will help them solve the cold case homicide of a Towson State University student.  Daniel Coverston was found dead in his apartment on Lachlan Circle on Valentine’s Day 2009.  Investigators say Coverston had been leaving the front door to his apartment open so friends could check in on him as he recovered from eye surgery. The 22-year-old was found face down in his home suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.  Detectives believe it is possible a person who made a call from a pay phone is responsible for Coverston’s death. A 15-thousand-dollar reward is being offered for information in the case.
