Following an investigation by Cumberland City Police and Child Protective Services, 34-year-old Michelle Lynn Porter was arrested on various child abuse-related charges. On February 1st, an ambulance came to her residence and took a juvenile patient to the hospital. The child was later found to have fentanyl in her system. Another child, who was a year old, was also found to have fentanyl and other illegal substances in her system. She signed for a copy of her charges and was released, pending trial in Allegany County District.
