Governor Jim Justice confirms an investigation into West Virginia State Police over claims of misconduct among troopers is underway. Letters outlining the allegations have been sent to delegates, senators, the state’s Attorney General’s office and local media. The claims include falsifying of overtime, a so-called ghost account for purchases and hidden cameras installed in the women’s locker room at the State Police Training Academy. Yesterday, at a news briefing, Governor Justice confirmed an investigation is in process but that he has complete faith in the work of the state police.
