The Marshall University plane crash in 1970 that took 75 lives is now an annual memorial day in West Virginia. Governor Jim Justice has signed a bill designating November 14th as a special memorial day each year to remember the 75 people who were killed as their plane approached Huntington. There were 36 Marshall University football players and 39 others on board Southern Airways Flight 932 when it crashed into a hillside near Huntington November 14th, 1970.
