CITY TO REQUIRE FINANCIAL RECORDS FOR HOTEL/MOTEL GRANTS

The application process for receiving a grant from the annual hotel-motel funding is changing. Those non-profits and organizations will be required to submit detailed documentation, including financial records, to be considered. The city, in years past, has made about $40,000 to $50,000 available to groups that increase tourism, and were not required to submit financial records. City officials will also consider applications from groups that don’t have non-profit status but will still need to submit documentation detailing their event and its financial records.
