BALTIMORE STREET BRIDGE REPAIRS UNDERWAY

If you’ve been driving in downtown, you may have noticed the Baltimore Street bridge traffic pattern is a bit different. That’s because the bridge is undergoing a $4.7 million renovation to bolster the structure, which had been deteriorating. Last spring, the bridge was renamed the Casper R. Taylor, Jr. bridge in honor of Cumberland resident and former Speaker of the House. The project is expected to be completed by next summer, and the bridge will remain open with two lanes of traffic during construction.
