Traveling across the Bay Bridge will be quite different for thousands of Marylanders. Automatic gates will now help guide motorists ahead of lane closures instead of the barrels that’ve been around for years. In fact, M-DOT has also installed new overhead signs to help make things easier for drivers as well. Drivers will continue to see a limited number of barrels as everyone adjusts to the new system.
