MARYLAND A.G. INVESTIGATING OFFICER-INVOLVED SHOOTING IN FREDERICK

The Maryland Attorney General’s office is investigating a fatal shooting involving police in Frederick this weekend.  Investigators say officers in Frederick were called to a home on North East Street for a report about a wanted man on Saturday.  When they arrived, they found the man hiding in a closet.  Police say he lunged at them with a knife when they ordered him to come out of the closet.  Police say two officers fired at the man and killed him.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.  No officers were injured.
