The law firm of Baird Mandalas Brockstedt and Federico has filed a class-action lawsuit against Perdue AgriBusiness over elevated levels of forever chemicals at their facility on Zion Church Road. Earlier this month, Perdue Farms sent letters to residents who live near the Salisbury facility to let them know about elevated levels of PFAS. Attorneys say the presence of the harmful chemicals has raised concern about the possibility of water contamination affecting local homeowners and businesses that rely on well water. The lawsuit is seeking monetary damages and Perdue’s remediation of the PFAS contamination on their properties.
