JUSTICE WALKER ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT FROM STATE HIGH COURT

Justice Beth Walker is announcing her retirement from the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia. In a statement, she said serving the people of West Virginia has been the greatest honor of her life.  Walker is currently the longest-serving justice on the Supreme Court.  She began serving as justice in January of 2017, then as Chief Justice from 2019 to 2023.  Walker’s last day with the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia will be on June 27th.
