Electricity rates are increasing. Baltimore Gas and Electric and Delmarva Power say bills will hike up an average of 16-dollars per month. The Maryland Public Service Commission approved an order Friday to spread out payments to six months instead of the original three. It’s a way to help customers buffer increasing rates especially for the high electricity use in the upcoming summer months.
