Consumers looking to buy beer and wine in grocery and other retail stores may have to wait a little longer. Two key Senate Democrats are saying a Senate bill is not poised to move forward, and a House version is “hitting a brick wall of concerns” about small business owners, according to the Cumberland Times-News. Senate President Bill Ferguson says that some sort of compromise needs to be worked out, and that may not happen until the next term in 2027.
