MD. LAUNCHES $19 MILLION ENERGY RELIEF FUND

Governor Wes Moore is joining BGE and nonprofit partners in announcing a new Customer Relief Fund to help residents with rising energy bills.  The 19-million-dollar fund will provide one-time grants of up to 750 dollars for eligible limited- and middle-income customers of BGE, Pepco and Delmarva Power.  Applications open July 1st, with the United Way of Central Maryland administering the program for BGE customers.  Governor Moore called it a step toward easing the burden on families facing steep utility costs.
