The Miss Maryland and Miss Maryland Teen pageants will begin this week in Washington County. The pageants will take place from June 18th through the 21st at The Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown. Eighteen contestants are vying for the Miss Maryland crown and there are eleven candidates for Miss Maryland Teen. Both of the pageants are scholarship competitions. The sign-in ceremony takes place at 4:00 this afternoon at the theater and the event is free and open to the public.
