Reba McEntire is sharing the reason she and fiance Rex Linn kept their engagement a secret after he proposed in December of 2024. In a conversation with People, she revealed that they planned to make the announcement in January, but their plans were halted due to the Palisades Fire. McEntire said an engagement announcement wasn’t appropriate at the time and the opportunity never “presented itself until the Emmys.” McEntire and Linn have yet to schedule a wedding date.
