COMMISSIONERS TO ASK FOR HELP WITH BEL AIR WATER BILLS

The Allegany County Commissioners will formally ask state officials to help a group of residents in the Bel Air area with extremely high water and sanitation bills. The Cumberland Times-News states the commissioners agreed to send letters within the next two weeks to state officials, including the Governor and Attorney General. Senator Mike McKay had previously sent a request to Governor Wes Moore, asking that a State of Emergency be declared for Maryland Water Service customers in Bel Air,  Pinto, Glen Oaks, and Highland Estates.
