Members of the West Virginia National Guard are extending their stay in the District. Four-hundred members of the West Virginia Guard were sent to DC in August and were expected to leave the city by the end of this month. West Virginia’s adjutant general announced yesterday that 160 members will stay in DC through the end of the year. The Guard members who will remain in DC have reportedly volunteered to stay.
