An ordinance, passed earlier this year in Cumberland, aims to reduce the number of city properties that are “junky” and/or covered with weeds. The Cumberland Times-News reports Code Compliance Manager Kevin Thacker led an update of community development efforts during Tuesday’s Mayor and City Council work session. The new ordinance would speed up code enforcement of so-called junk properties.
