The Cumberland Times-News is placing its property for sale and plans to relocate to new downtown offices later this year. Much of the current building, which has been located at the corner of Baltimore and Mechanic Streets for more than 100 years, is not used regularly by the newspaper staff. Printing the paper was shifted to another location about 7 years ago. Its news, advertising, and circulation departments will operate from the new location. Publisher Chip Minemyer says the company hopes to make an announcement about the move in the next several weeks.
