TWIGG NAMED COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE JUDGE

Judge Michael O. Twigg has been named administrative judge for the Circuit Court of Allegany County. Twigg’s appointment,  by Supreme Court Chief Justice Matthew J. Fader, took effect yesterday, in advance of the retirement of County and Circuit Court Administrative Judge Jeffrey S. Getty in June. Administrative judges oversee the administration of the court, budget and procurement functions and manage trial calendars to ensure the quick disposition of cases, according to the Cumberland Times-News.
