A 27-year-old man from Silver Spring suffered injuries to the head, eye, and chest after he was accidentally shot Saturday morning. A 28-year-old man from Pennsylvania fired the shot that caused the injury to his friend. The incident occurred Saturday morning in the Green Ridge State Forest, near the intersection of Daily Road and Green Ridge Road. A medevac helicopter transported the victim to a Johns Hopkins Medical Facility in Baltimore. Spring turkey season began Saturday. The incident remains under investigation.
