Maryland Congressman Andy Harris is applauding the U.S. Army’s decision to establish the Army Data Operations Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground. The First District Republican sent a letter to Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll in February advocating for the APG site. Harris cited APG’s capabilities to support ADOC’s mission and he is urging the Army to base the command there permanently. Harris says the decision to locate ADOC at Aberdeen Proving Ground puts a critical national security capability in Maryland’s First District, where the expertise and infrastructure already exist to get the job done.
