A kayaker has died after being rescued from the Potomac River near Great Falls. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue says three people were separated from their kayaks yesterday afternoon. They made it to shore on the Virginia side of the river, though one kayaker was reportedly in critical condition. That person was transferred to the Maryland side of the river for additional treatment, but did not survive. The incident is currently under investigation.
