Governor Wes Moore is issuing a directive addressing the state’s agricultural crisis. Officials say historic damages from April’s crop freeze and drought are threatening “economic prosperity, culture and food security.” The agricultural and other related agencies are being instructed to provide emergency loans and other relief programs swiftly. An irrigation task force, producer education, risk management and other related resources are being developed.
