MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULT, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT

Oakland resident Russell Rinker has been charged following a Saturday incident in the 1400-block of Boiling Springs Road. Rinker is accused of being involved in a physical altercation with occupants of the residence, obtaining a firearm and shooting it. He was charged with three counts of first-degree assault, and three counts of reckless endangerment. He was taken to the Garrett County Detention Center, where he was held without bond. He is also being held on a detainer from the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office in Ohio for a burglary charge.
