SOMERSET COUNTY SHERIFF’S TRIAL TO BEGIN JUNE 15th

Pre-trial motions have been filed by attorneys on both sides of Somerset County Sheriff Dustin Weir’s corruption of minors trial, which is set to begin on June 15^th. The motions will determine which evidence should be admissible at trial. State prosecutors accuse Weir of pressuring a 15-year-old girl to join him and a deputy to a department store’s condom section, during a 2024 Shop with a Cop event, where he allegedly asked about sex toys and if she was sexually active. There have been no rulings on the motions filed.
