The West Virginia Public Service Commission is holding two hearings in the area for the Mid-Atlantic Resiliency Link transmission line. Opponents are expected to make their voices heard in Keyser tonight and Romney tomorrow night. Hearings are scheduled for next week in Morgantown and Kingwood. NextEra Transmission wants to build the line, which would pass through more than 100 miles of West Virginia, much of it through private property. The line would be established to power a data center in Virginia. The hearings, which begin at 5:30 p.m., will be held tonight at the Church-McKee Arts Center in Keyser. Tomorrow’s hearing, in Romney, will be held at the Hampshire County Courthouse in the second-floor courtroom.
