Maryland Representative April McClain Delaney says the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on mail-in voting is a victory for democracy. On Monday, justices ruled that mail-in ballots postmarked by election day but received after that can still be counted. The Sixth District Democrat said that for years Donald Trump and his allies have tried to undermine confidence in mail-in voting and the Court has rejected that effort and upheld states’ ability to count their ballots. She says democracy works when every lawful vote is counted.
