Much of Maryland is bracing for dangerously hot weather. A Heat Advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday for central, north-central, northeast, northern and Southern Maryland, including the Baltimore and DC areas. Forecasters say heat index values could reach 106 degrees during the afternoon and evening hours. Meanwhile, an Extreme Heat Watch takes effect Thursday morning and continues through Friday evening, with “feels like” temperatures possibly climbing to 112 degrees.
