The Eastern Garrett VFRD will hold a roast beef dinner on Sunday, April 28, 2024 from Noon to 4 p.m. Dinner includes roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, noodles, green beans and dessert. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for kids.
Multiple Sclerosis Empowerment Meeting

Spaghetti Dinner- Frostburg Legion

The Frostburg American Legion will be having an All You Can Eat spaghetti dinner on Thursday, May 2nd from 4:00 till 7:00pm. The menu will be spaghetti, tossed salad and bread. Salisbury VFD Chicken BBQ and Cornhole Tournament

The Salisbury Volunteer Fire Department will hold a chicken BBQ and Cornhole Tournament on Saturday, Maty 4, 2024, beginning at 11 a.m. Dinner includes chicken, cole slaw, baked beans and a roll. Benefit Spaghetti Dinner

There will be a benefit spaghetti dinner for April McKenzie, who is a 2024 Lung Donor Recipient. She is a lifelong resident of Oldtown. To help her along in her recovery, her family and community members are having a benefit dinner at the Oldtown Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, May 4th from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be over 20 basket raffles and other, higher priced raffles and a bake sale. Shanksville VFD Golf Outing

The Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department is hosting its annual golf outing on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at the Northwinds Peninsula Golf Club, the first golf course designed by Arnold Palmer, located at 1772 Peninsula Drive in Central City. High Mountain Gospel Riders “Run for the Son”

The Christian Motorcycle Association’s local chapter, “High Mountain Gospel Riders” from Garrett County will be doing an annual ride, called, “2024 Run for the Son” on Saturday May 4, 2024. “Run for the Son” rides will be occurring on the same day by all chapters in the United States and around the world. The purpose is to pray and raise funds for CMA Evangelism in the U.S. and world-wide. Riders should meet at 13227 Garrett Highway (the China Wok/Mt. Top Glass parking lot5) for registration. Harper Strong Fundraiser
Saturday, May 11, 2024, beginning at Noon
A fun-filled day is being planned to help raise money for Harper Struntz, who is a 9-year-old girl from Frostburg, who recently underwent a heart transplant. She came home on Monday, April 22nd, but there will be lots of trips back to Children’s Hospital, UPMC-Pittsburgh for Harper and her family. The day will be filled with kids’ games, face painting, a photo booth, basket raffles and other fundraisers. Other raffles will be for Altoona Curve tickets, a boys’ and girls’ bike. And, there’ll be music all day long! This fun-filled day for Harper will be held at the Haystack Sportsman Club on Clubhouse Road in LaVale.
