The Eastern Garrett VFRD will hold its monthly spaghetti dinner on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The dinner features their homemade spaghetti sauce, featuring B & B Country Meats of Frostburg, homemade Italian bread from Caporale’s Bakery of Cumberland, tossed salad, coffee, and iced tea. In October, 685 dinners were served.
Barton Firemen’s Auxiliary Baked Chicken Dinner

Tree Lighting Celebration at St. Michael’s

A Tree Lighting Celebration will be held on Sunday, November 30th at the St. Michael’s Courtyard in Frostburg at 6:30 p.m. At 6 p.m., there will be free carriage rides, s’mores, and free refreshments. Kitzmiller/Elk Garden Youth League Benefit Bingo
Friday, November 14, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There will be a benefit bingo event for Silas Moyer, who is the one-year-old son of Sam and Damieann Moyer, who was recently diagnosed with a rare skin cancer. All proceeds will go to the family for medial and travel expenses. The cost is $25 per ticket. Doors open at 5 p.m. Early bird games at 5:30 p.m. and regular games start at 6 p.m. 50/50 tickets, raffle baskets, and the winner will be announced for the Custom Designed Corn Hole Set. RE Temple No. 118 Daughters of the Nile Quarter Auction

RE Temple 118, Daughters of the Nile will hold a quarter auction on Sunday, November 16th, with doors opening at 1 p.m. The auction begins at 2 p.m. It will take place at the Ali Ghan Shrine Club. New Life Bible Camp Flag Football Tournament

New Life Bible Camp will host its annual Turkey Bowl flag football tournament on Saturday, November 22nd, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proceeds from the event will be used to support the ministry of New Life Bible Camp. New Life is a Christian camp ministry in Buffalo Mills, Pennsylvania, serving children, teens, and adults in Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Virginia. Let’s Beautify Cumberland Veteran’s Day Service

The Let’s Beautify Cumberland group will host a Veteran’s Day service on Tuesday at 12 Noon, at the Veteran’s Park on South Centre Street. The community is invited to gather and honor our service men and women. The service will include patriotic music, guest speakers, a wreath presentation to be placed at the Veteran’s Memorial. Following the service, a cake will be served in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Windsor Castle, formerly the National Guard Armory.
Bountiful Blessings Giveaway

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Washington and Smallwood Streets, will hold a Bountiful Blessings giveaway on Thursday, November 13th, from 4 to 6 p.m. A photo ID is required for yearly registration. This will be the only giveaway in November. The program provides cleaning supplies, paper goods and personal hygiene items.

The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Greater Cumberland, at 222 South Lee Street will hold its annual “Handcrafted With Love” artisan gift fair on Saturday, December 6th, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There’s something for everyone on your holiday shopping list. Fiber artists, candles, jewelry, suncatchers, gnomes, and more will be available. Local author Seamus Muir will be signing his books. There will also be a bake sale. It’s a great way to shop local. Jaycces Seeking Donations for Christmas Shopping Tour

The Western Maryland Jaycees are gearing up for their annual holiday event, the Christmas Shopping Tour on Saturday, December 13th. The event serves children who might not be eligible for other programs, but are still very much in need. They are reaching out to the community for support and donations. Any donation, no matter the size, will go a long way in helping them reach their goal of helping 30 children at this year’s event.
