They are being held through October 30th at Canal Place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday; at City Place in Frostburg on Fridays through October 24th, also from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and, at the Canal Place Depot on Saturdays through October 25th.

Mountaineer 4-H Club Kettle Chili and Soup Sale

The Mountaineer 4-H Club is holding a kettle chili and soup sale on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Elk Garden Volunteer Fire Department kitchen. Enjoy kettle chili, vegetable, chicken noodle and cheddar potato soup with a drink, roll, and dessert. A free-will offering will be taken and additional donations are also welcome. Eastern Garrett Monthly Spaghetti Dinner

The Eastern Garrett VFRD will hold its monthly spaghetti dinner on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. The dinner features their homemade spaghetti sauce, featuring B & B Country Meats of Frostburg, homemade Italian bread from Caporale’s Bakery of Cumberland, tossed salad, coffee, and iced tea. In October, 685 dinners were served.

Shanksville Volunteer Fire Department is sponsoring our second annual Home Goods Bingo.
Join us October 25th at the Fire Hall, 625 North Street, Shanksville, PA for an afternoon of fun, food, and a chance to win some great prizes, including $100 gift cards, designer purses, knife sets, cookware, laptops, tablets and more! Four fill-all card games will be played for TVs, a Nintendo Switch and $300 cash.

Rock N Glow Bowling

Morning Star Temple #1, Pythian Sisters, will hold a Halloween Rock-N-Glow Bowling event at White Oak Lanes on Saturday, October 25th from 8 to 11 p.m. The cost is $20.00 per person for three hours of bowling and shoe rental. There will be prizes for costumes, anda 50/50 raffle. The snack bar will be available to purchase food and drinks. Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society Open House

The Mon Valley Historical Society, Inc. is sponsoring a National Model Railroad Month Open House on November 1st and 2nd at the Mountaineer Mall. Benefit Spaghetti Dinner for Riley Barton

There will be a benefit spaghetti dinner on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 12 Noon to 5 p.m. at the Fairgo Grill and BBQ on McMullen Highway. Riley is two years old and is the daughter of Chris and Shelby Barton of Cresaptown. She has been diagnosed with Abernathy Malformation, and is currently in Philadelphia. Riley will soon be transported Chicago, where she will undergo two major surgeries. Her family will be with her for an extended period time, and unable to work.
