DEEP CREEK LAKE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION

The DCL 100 Birthday Bash is a celebration of both the 100-year legacy of Deep Creek Lake and the vibrant community that makes it special. The celebration takes place at the Garrett County Fairgrounds on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from noon to 10 p.m.fora day of fun, music and community spirit. Admission is just 25-cents per person, the same price as fair entry in 1925. They will be collecting quarters as a unique way to count attendees while honoring the past. Get fresh fruits, plants, and vegetables at Farmer’s Markets in Allegany County. They are being held through October 30th at Canal Place from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday; at City Place in Frostburg on Fridays through October 24th, also from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and, at the Canal Place Depot on Saturdays through October 25th.
Ellerslie Days July 25-27, 2025
Bingo, Music, Fireworks, and more!
Ellerslie Days will be held July 25th through July 27th, in the field behind the Post Office. Cash Bingo will be held at the Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Department, beginning at 6 p.m. On Saturday, the Opening Ceremonies will be held at 12 Noon, followed by a day of games, bounce houses, live bands and a fireworks show, sponsored by Shaffer Construction. On Sunday, there’ll be bounce houses, bull riding, a rock climbing wall and axe throwing. There will be two live bands, and a kids and adults Power Wheels Derby. Vendor spots are available. Keyser VFD Junior Fire Camp
Monday, July 28, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Keyser Fire Department will host a Junior Fire Camp from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28th through August 2nd at the Keyser Fire Department Station #2 on Cornell Street. It is open to all youth, ages 12 to 15. The camp is free. Contact any member of the Keyser Fire Department, or see their Facebook page for an application.

The Eastern Garrett VFRD will hold its monthly spaghetti dinner on Saturday, August 9th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring their homemade spaghetti sauce, featuring B & B Country Meats of Frostburg, homemade Italian bread from the Frostburg Bakery, coffee and iced tea.
Sheriff’s Summer Splash

The “Sheriff’s Summer Splash” will take place on Sunday, July 20th, from Noon to 6 p.m. at the Frostburg Pool. This is a FREE Swim Day, with funding provided by the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy-Community Grant Program Fund.

Toys for Tots Motorcycle Charity Ride

There will be a motorcycle charity ride for Toys for Tots on August 23, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The ride starts in Frostburg. The cost is $15 driver and $10 per rider. Swan Meadow Heritage Charter School’s Presentation of “We Four Kings”

“We Four Kings”-a Christmas-themed “who done it” dinner theater will take place on August 8th and 9th, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Community Center on Joni Miller Road in Oakland.
