This is the final week of employment for the 96-person staff at the Snyder of Berlin snack plant, who were laid off nearly two months ago. The Pennsylvania Department of Labor has been working closely with Our Home, the parent company of Snyder’s. Our home hosted four “rapid response” informational meetings for the affected employees, and a job fair was held exclusively for Snyder of Berlin employees, connecting them with 20 local employers who are actively recruiting workers.
