Washington County Sheriff Brian Albert says he will continue the county’s agreement with ICE until the end of its 90-day termination clause. Under emergency legislation signed by Governor Wes Moore, on February 17th state and local law enforcement agencies must end 287(g) programs that deputize their officers for federal immigration enforcement. Sheriff Albert says the agreement his office has with ICE has a 90-day termination clause and 90-days from the governor’s bill’s signing will be Monday, March 18th.
