Longtime WJZ-TV personality Marty Bass says he’ll retire at the end of May after a 48-year career at the station. The 72-year-old first joined WJZ in 1977, becoming a fixture on morning TV with his humor, feature reporting, and years of weather coverage. Bass also spent decades at WPOC radio and worked with the Baltimore Ravens on their weekly shows. He says he plans to keep filming his “Where’s Marty?” segments until his final day and is grateful to viewers for welcoming him into their homes for nearly five decades.
