The Monongahela National Forest is planning a prescribed fire for the Lockridge Unit. The planned burn covers more than two-thousand acres and is scheduled to take place today and tomorrow. Residents may see smoke, fire crews, equipment, and helicopters in the area during the operation. Officials say they plan burns to direct smoke away from populated areas as much as possible.
