Nearly 300 DirecTV workers in the Tri-State region and beyond have given their union the green light to call a strike. The Communication Workers of America, including members of Huntington-based CWA Local 2009, say their current contract expired back in February. Workers rejected a tentative agreement at the end of March. The union says the top priorities are higher wages, lower health care costs, and fair working conditions. Workers also want the ability to take earned days off and have reasonable break time between customer calls.
