STATE LOOKING TO ENLARGE WILLS MOUNTAIN STATE PARK

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources had asked Allegany County to approve the state’s acquisition of 675 acres, known as the Mount Savage Refractories Parcel 1 property, which is adjacent to Wills Mountain State Park. The county commissioners signed off on the plan during last week’s meeting.
