Kenny Chesney is canceling his two 4th of July weekend shows in Las Vegas. The Las Vegas Review Journal reports that Chesney let fans know about his decision in an e-mail, saying he prefers to follow traditions and spend time with his family over the Independence Day weekend. He went on to say, “over the last few weeks, I’ve heard about a lot of traditions that wouldn’t be happening – because I was going to play Las Vegas over the 4th of July Weekend.” Chesney was scheduled to play on July 3rd and 4th at the Sphere. After the cancellation, the country star still has eleven dates scheduled for his residency.
