West Virginia Secretary of State Kris Warner says more than one-million voters are registered and eligible for the May 12th primary election. Preliminary numbers put the total at just under one-million-two-hundred-thousand eligible voters, a figure that will be finalized by April 28th. Warner’s office also reports that since last January, more than 68-thousand registered voters have switched parties. The largest single shift, more than 20-thousand voters, moved from unaffiliated to Republican. Early voting in the state gets underway April 29th and runs through May 9th.
