Local and federal law enforcement officials are involved with an investigation, after a threat was made by phone, to the McDonald’s restaurant in Westernport yesterday morning. The business received a phone threat, the property was checked, and nothing was found. Local law enforcement was made aware of the threat at the Church Street location just before noon. The Maryland State Police, the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services and federal agencies are involved in the investigation. The restaurant was cleared about 90-minutes from the time the notification was received. Units cleared the scene just after 1 p.m.
