A bomb threat, made along Washington Street on Monday afternoon, was determined to be “not credible.” Cumberland City Police and the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the scene outside of Circuit Court just after 4 p.m. yesterday. A man was outside the court building, making threats. A bomb detection K-9 unit examined a backpack the man had; nothing was detected. There was no information on the suspect’s identity, nor whether charges would be filed.
