City of Cumberland officials are moving forward with a plan to raise water and sewer bills, starting July 1st. According to the Cumberland Times-News, the Mayor and City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance to increase water costs by 8 per cent and an 11 percent increase for sewer rates. The city last raised sewer rates in 2015.
