Thirty scouts and adults were rescued from the banks of the Cacapon River Saturday, as water levels became unsafe. The scouts had been floating on the river as part of a 50-year, Memorial Day weekend tradition. The scouts and their leaders, reportedly from Fairfax, Virginia. The group was rescued from three different locations along the riverbank. Units were on the scene for about three hours.
