A Democratic state senator is repeating his call for a special session to redraw Maryland’s congressional map and again – Republicans are pushing back. Speaking in Annapolis Thursday, Senator Arthur Ellis of Charles County said the special session should take place before the June 23rd primary election because other states are continuing to redraw their maps. Republicans say Democrats are trying to make the map even more partisan. House Minority Leader Jason Buckel says eliminating any fair chance for Republican and independent voters to have their views represented in the federal government is “simply wrong.”
