VERMONT AUTHORITIES ARREST BEDFORD COUNTY MAN

Bedford resident Jacob Burtner was arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Vermont, after trying to escape prosecution. Authorities say he had his two daughters with him, and he intended to harm them. Burtner was wanted on a felony warrant out of Mineral County for financially exploiting an elderly or incapacitated adult. He is expected to be extradited to West Virginia, and law enforcement reports additional charges may be brought against him.
