Preston County resident Larry Ray Jones is accused of using a $20 bill, with a corner torn away, and marked “Movie Prop Use Only” at several locations. He allegedly used the counterfeit bill in an attempt to buy alcohol, soda, and a candy bar; he used the change to buy two scratch-off lottery tickets. He was arrested following a review of store surveillance. Jones has been charged with counterfeiting, and is being held on $5,000 bail at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
